This is a must visit cinema. I'd been putting off my visit because of the ordinary look of the hall. But when I got there, I wondered why I'd denied myself the plasure for so long. Picture and sound were superb and the welcome, so warm. From Glenbrook, you can continue up into the Blue Moutans to another cinema treasure, Mount Vic Flicks.
The Glenbrook cinema is in a council owned building which has made it very hard for business owner, Ron Curran, at times. Once you've experienced the friendliness of the place, you'll wonder why the local council is not prostrate in appreciation for the job of social bonding that they are doing.
Ron would love to have a second screen since he shares the venue with varous other activities like live theatre, and must send his staff home at such times.
We've found that a second screen is a great help in other ways too in that if you have a contract to show a film for a certain period, and the audience has dried up, you can park it in your smaller hall, and start a new movie on the bigger screen. John Griffiths at The Kinema, Narooma, explains all this very well
